Setting up an ecommerce business during the holiday season is no easy feat. Lee Evans Lee launched apparel company Mrs. Momma Bear Workwear in July, so the retailer is still figuring out how to navigate the busy end of year sales season.
Mrs. Momma Bear Workwear uses FedEx Corp. as its primary mail carrier, both during the holidays and year round. At the same time, the retailer received products, including mannequins, for its stores through the carrier DHL. Lee says she was “beyond impressed” with both carriers’ service.
About 30% of Mrs. Momma Bear Workwear’s sales are online, Lee says. All online orders ship free in the U.S. using express delivery, the retailer’s website says. It promises delivery within two to three business days, with some exceptions: “Some locations may take an additional 1-2 business days. During sale or holiday periods, express delivery may take an additional 1-2 days.”
