Despite global pandemics and a war in Ukraine, European business-to-business ecommerce is growing at a steady pace and will approach $2 trillion in total sales as soon as 2025, based on projections from the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration. The majority of B2B cross-border ecommerce within Europe also occurs within its geographical borders between countries, while only 30% of B2B ecommerce is happening outside of the continent, according to the ITA.

“This increase in B2B online consumption within Europe relates to overall increased market demand from purchases of spare machine parts, complex products, business/digital services, as well as packaged and bulk products,” the ITA says.
